Lebrew RoastSee AquaGauge Water Activity Analyzer uses MEMS humidity sensors coated with a customized metal oxide coating that provides greater accuracy, sensitivity and consistency when analyzing green coffee. Only 13g of unroasted coffee is needed to take a metering. Fast detection speed in user switchable QuickMode, compared with the water activity instruments on the market, the detection speed is increased by 50%. Under the AW QuickMode, the metering can be completed in 1-2min with accuracy that is guaranteed to be ±0.05aw.

In green coffee water activity is one measurement we use to estimate the quality of the coffee's drying and its potential shelf life. For roasters, water activity can indicate how much energy is required to develop a coffee, saving time and coffee in profile development. In the coffee industry we recommend this as an indispensable tool for any complete quality control process, whether that's at a farm, exporter, importer, roaster or other QC lab.
