{"product_id":"mustefa-abalulesa-oma-fontule-washed-grade-1-org","title":"Mustefa Abalulesa, Oma Fontule, Washed, Grade 1, ORG","description":"Mustefa Abalulesa Abagibe farms in Gomma District, near Agaro, on an exceptional parcel located over 2,000 meters in high, dense forest. Before it was cleared for coffee—though ample tree cover remains for shade—this land served as a hideout for his father, Abalulessa, a guerrilla fighting the Derg military regime. After repeated failed attempts to capture him, and after losing soldiers in the process, the government reportedly placed a bounty on him through the local community. Near the end of his life, in deteriorating health, Abalulessa asked an old friend to report that he had killed him so the friend could claim the reward. He died in 1977, when Mustefa was two years old. Later, through an amnesty and reconciliation process, the land that now anchors Mustefa’s farm was granted to his family.\n\nToday, Mustefa and his brother Musa farm that land alongside another plot seven kilometers away. In addition to producing coffee for export—something they began several years ago, with Crop to Cup as their first buyer—Mustefa is also trusted by government and NGO agricultural partners to produce high-quality planting seed for farmers across the region. At his facility, Koye Farm, rows of dried parchment are stored under a fine layer of ash to help inhibit mold before distribution and planting. That dual role, as both coffee producer and seed supplier, makes Koye Farm distinctive within western Ethiopia, and we continue to regard Mustefa as a singular partner, through and through.","brand":"Showroom Coffee","offers":[{"title":"2 lb $16.14 ($8.07\/lb)","offer_id":67641013174332,"sku":"INV03722-2","price":16.14,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":false},{"title":"10 lb $72.30 ($7.23\/lb)","offer_id":67641013207100,"sku":"INV03722-10","price":72.3,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":false},{"title":"33 lb $214.17 ($6.49\/lb)","offer_id":67641013239868,"sku":"INV03722-33","price":214.17,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":false},{"title":"66 lb $398.64 ($6.04\/lb)","offer_id":67641013272636,"sku":"INV03722-66","price":398.64,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":false},{"title":"Full Bag (132.28lbs) $710.34 ($5.37\/lb)","offer_id":67641013305404,"sku":"INV03722-full","price":710.34,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0719\/5253\/1516\/files\/Mustefa-Abalulesa-Oma-Fontule-Washed-Grade-1-ORG-1.png?v=1785165423","url":"https:\/\/showroomcoffee.com\/products\/mustefa-abalulesa-oma-fontule-washed-grade-1-org","provider":"Showroom Coffee","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
